Drink of the month: Double Dark Chocolate Espresso, November 2019
As the winter months start to creep in here in the Northern Hemisphere we start to think about drinks that fill us with warmth and happiness.
We know many of you won’t need any more coffee-based or alcoholic drinks to add to the list as we come around to Christmas and the New Year, however, we think you might just make space for this one: The Double Dark Chocolate Espresso.
This fantastic coffee-based drink is non-alcoholic, although adding a dram of whisky to the mixture certainly won’t make it worse! It features our sumptuously tasty ODK Double Dark Hot Chocolate Powder as well as a touch of ODK Vanilla Syrup for good measure.
The deep and slightly bitter taste of the Doube Dark Chocolate and coffee is balanced out beautifully by the Vanilla Syrup and whipped cream. Just look at it! Who wouldn’t want one of these curled up in front of the fire?!
Anyway, enough talking. Here is what you will need to make this tasty drink:
Double Dark Chocolate Espresso
Pour the hot chocolate powder and milk into a jug. Mix with a whisk. Steam up until boiling and it reaches the desired density. Pour mixture into a glass.
Pour Espresso and vanilla over the mixture. Garnish with whipped cream and chopped hazelnut. Serve and enjoy.
