Drink of the month: Bombay Chilli and Basil Whisky Sour, September 2018
It is time for our next drink of the month, and this September it is a tasty, alcoholic cocktail. The submissions flooded in from the countries around the world you can find ODK but this cocktail was a clear winner for us this month!
Last month’s winner was the fantastic non-alcoholic Rogue Chilli featuring ODK Chilli Syrup and ODK Lychee Fruit Puree.
One of the most interesting aspects of having different teams working around the world, is seeing not only what is popular with the people of that country but also what our creative ODK experts can come up with – they never fail to disappoint.
This month’s winner is another submission from the team in Sweden. The ODK team in Sweden is particularly active and always have lots of great photos and recipes to share. It is no surprise that the winner for Drink of the Month for August also went to one of the many ODK creations to come out of Sweden.
An alcoholic cocktail mixing together the flavours of lemon, chilli and basil. Discover our Drink of the Month for September, the Bombay Chilli and Basil Whisky Sour:
Bombay Chilli and Basil Whisky Sour
10-20ml of ODK Basil Cocktail Syrup (depending on strength of flavour preference)
20ml ODK Chilli Cocktail Syrup
30ml ODK Lemon Sour
3-4 fresh basil leaves (ripped)
20ml ODK White Sugar Syrup
1/2 fresh egg white
40-60ml of Bourbon whisky (depending on alcoholic strength preference)
Method: Put all ingredients in a cocktail tin with ice, shake vigorously, single strain and serve. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
